I started talking to this chap whilst walking out in the west end of Glasgow a few weeks ago…
About 4-5 years ago, his dog was rescued from a vicious owner – someone who beat her so badly she was terrified to be in the same room as anyone else. Sadly it has taken him until recently just to get her able to walk in the park on a quiet day.
Despite us being total strangers, I talked to this chap for about half an hour, and was delighted that he’d let me take his photo. The world needs more people like this guy, for sure.
Also, I’ve just finished reading Don McCullin’s “Unreasonable Behaviour” – a captivating autobiography of one of the 20th century’s leading photojournalists. If you wanted to know what wartime photojournalism is all about, then this is the book for you.
