I’ve been very close to posting this image a few times before, however I always fear that it’s a little bit bland and uninteresting.

It was taken just after I got the new camera, and I was a little bit surprised by the shallow depth-of-field.

On another note, if you haven’t heard of this already, I highly recommend reading the Survival in New Orleans blog (before he may be forced offline through lack of diesel).

It’s a blog authored by someone who’s manning a hosting company amid the chaotic aftermath of the Hurricane. Personally, I think that if even half of what he writes is true, then there’s a lot of unanswered questions about how the US government have handled the situation.
