Flying School.

Apologies for the lack of updates this week – a busy start to the week was topped by a nasty cold – I write this clutching my snotty hanky with a duvet round me.

The cygnets in the park are growing up, fast! And one of the parents seemed to be giving flying lessons across the pond – the swan would flap its wings noisily and whizz across the pond, floating just off the surface, while the cygnets followed, flapping furiously. The one to the far right was almost clear of the water, and I’m sure if we’d stayed around for a while longer we’d have seen a few maiden flights from the youngsters.

Taken last Sunday when I was out in Queens Park, with Amanda’s niece, my chief photography assistant, Dionne.

Cool, what a great thing to witness, and a great photo to boot.
