Make Hay While The Sun Shines.

Given that, for the first time in about 3 weeks, it is not torrential rain in Scotland, I decided I must make the most of the excellent weather from the last few days.

Up at 6am, and off to… another of Glasgow’s Parks. This time it’s Queens Park, which is ideally located 2 mins from my flat. As I expected (and hoped!) the cold, clear night was transformed into an amazing dawn. The light was changing by the second, however I’m glad I wasted a few minutes setting up the tripod, and working out a nice angle – frequently I feel I hammer off hundreds of shots, all of them mince.

Its another clear night tonight, so definitely early to bed. Watch this space!

Really nice.. lovely colours. I was thinking of early to bed for an early rise as there is mist forecast – unfortunately it’s also going to be cloudy, so I doubt we’ll get a nice morning like that.

Stumbled across your site & love the shots. Any way you could provide lens info & settings with each one?

I can feel the morning around me when I look at this. I love this kind of start to a day. Crisp and clear and peaceful. You captured it all.

Early Rise? Willing mind? Weak flesh? You do so leave yourself wide open for abusive comments, only saved for the fact you are my little brother :)

Munro… It’s nearly always a Nikon D70, using my 18-70mm or occasionally a 70-210mm lens.

I’ll try and work on a way to get some of the shot data displayed, but it will have to be in a way that doesn’t clutter the page too much. I’ll work on it :-)
