Commuters.

Commuters.

It’s 5pm, and everyone’s desperate to get on the motorway, and begin their journey home: to loved ones, to warmth, to dinner.

I’m glad I can walk home – my 30 minutes brisk walk each way helps to prepare me for work in the morning, and relax me for the evening.

We’d be happier without our cars, I reckon. I have enough “hurry” at work, I make an effort to take things slow in my own time.

Very true. Whilst I would love to have a car, I think walking and using public transport gives you more of an appreciation of your surroundings.

Personally I liked how you have the design as copyright Mike Sudworth…

p.s. for those of you who are somewhat confused, Mike is a good mate, whom I do a lot of my photography with.

isn’t it the old “catch 22″ situation though.. if everyone decided “brisk walk” home rather then driving… would that not make the walk less appealing as it would be more congested with people walking places and thus not allowing you to have the relaxing walk – much like in london where it’s just a mass of people trying to get somewhere.

I agree with you about the cars. We’d be much happier. People turn into complete psychopaths the minute they get behind the wheel. I have 30 miles to work, so I have to drive, really, but I now force myself to drive calmly and slowly; it does work too – most of the time.

hmm, so, not sure why I just got your last three posts in one batch just now. *shrug*

Hey I recognize this street, it’s the one we walked together back home! It looks so much prettier than it is in reality!
