Symmetry.

Symmetry.

I was quite surprised, on a recent night-time visit to Glasgow Green, to notice that it’s been cleaned up. A lot. The place was pretty much a “no go” area at night, with a history of gang violence, prostitution and drug dealing, however the only folk I met were joggers and dog-walkers. Perhaps I was just lucky.

This is the People’s Palace – a museum documenting the history of the people of Glasgow. There’s a fairly large glasshouse and cafe to the rear of the property, which isn’t visible in this shot.

I’d consider this a “nice shot” – it’s not particularly challenging or exciting. However I was so surprised at how nice the area has became, that I just had to post it.

Also, going round the museum was one of the first dates Amanda and I went on (I’m still surprised she didn’t run away screaming!)…. and I’m a hopeless romantic. :-)

Lovely shot; surreal lighting and as close to perfect perspective as you can hope without a tilt-shift lens!

Also a side note; Tell Mike to fix his RSS feed!

Yeah, great perspective – was it distorted in PS? That mad red sky again!!

Umm, I used the Lens Correction tool, so shame on me. I can’t afford a Tilt-and-Shift lens, and to be honest I’d never see the point, unless I was shooting film.

“Postcard” was my first thought. Not sure if that is a + or not, but I love the picture. Picture postcard perfection.

beautiful building. You can almost imagine a Ferrero Rocher advert – “with this ferrero rocher he is spoiling us”

ohhh ok maybe not – it is just up the road from the gorbals :)

I don’t mind “postcard” shots, in fact a lot of my favourite stuff is postcardy… :-)
