Postcard #1: London Bridge.
Just a quick shot… There used to be an archway connecting the islandy bit to the mainlandy bit, however it collapsed a few years ago whilst a few tourists were on the “islandy bit”. In fairness, it wasn’t an islandy bit until after they’d walked across…
Rumour has it that Toyota were filming adverts for their new 4×4 on the outcrop a few weeks before, and an accident with a helicopter resulted in one of their cars being hit off the now collapsed rock span… hence it was weakened and collapsed soon after.
This was one of the first shots from the holidays where it wasn’t utterly chucking down with rain, unfortunately… It’s meant to get clear soon.
You do realise that I’m in full-on postcardorama photography style just now, don’t you? Sorry to disapoint, however tourist is what tourist does!!!
Feel free to point out the good and the bad.

Very similar to Marsden Rock in the Northeast; Archways collapsing and all that!
Not so much the helicopter hitting it with a jeep…

SO jealous, mate! It’s -23F here today and I’d chew somebodies arm off for a day at the beach.

Yeah, will try to get another postcard soon. Many probs with this pic though, the horizon is squint, and I’d have cropped a bit at the bottom, due to the footprints in the sand…. so apologies, though I’m limited in what I can achieve in a net cafe…
