A shot of The Ripoffs lead Stephen wowing a sell-out home crowd… I’ve already earned my free ticket to their next gig at the month’s end. :-) To be in demand is a good feeling, although I think free photography, and free publicity are 2 things a young band need in equal, massive, amounts.

Have been wanting to post this one for a while, but could never get the feeling of the shot “just right”.

Have now settled in to the iMac pretty good. I’ve looked over my previous shots and cannot believe how many glaring faults, bad noise and general rough-edges I’ve spotted. Suffice to say I feel a bit ashamed of some of the rubbish I’ve churned out. My old PC monitor was quite “woolly”, and I’ve since realised my work machine is not much better (despite being a fairly new Dell TFT setup). The iMac screen is gloriously crisp, which is making me even more pedantic unfortunately.

I’ve also taken the plunge and got Apple’s Aperture software, which is now fully Intel-iMac compatible. It is very very good, and has immediately became the core of my workflow. The combination of iMac and Aperture has proven to me that the best things in life are either free (life), expensive (apple!) or priceless (companionship).

p.s. It’s another f1.4 (1/25 sec and ISO 800). The blurriness is proof that I’m total gash without a tripod! :-)

Aha! My blonde flowing locks on the front page; what a greeting.

This is a very good ‘concert’ shot. I love the perspective. Looks like a grand time. Doesn’t look too blurry to me, in fact, it fits the mood! yeah!

I like this shot, exactly as Ana says, it’s a ‘concert’ shot with lovely warm tones.

Thanks everyone … it was a great night, took a lot of shots, but this is perhaps my favourite.

I this it’s a great shot. You have the feeling just right, as it really does look like there was a sell out crowd and even the photographer had to stand at the back!
