Mike and I headed to Balmaha, on the eastern edge of Loch Lomond, last night …
“The Plan” was to climb Conic Hill on the side of the loch, and take shots of sunset from there, looking across the loch. Nature had decided this wasn’t to happen, however.
Torrential rain meant that it was absolutely impossible to go up the hill (it’s slippy rock, which means the ascent at sunset would be tricky, but practically lethal with only a headtorch to guide us on the descent in the dark).
So, we made a decision – to go to the pub until the weather cleared. After that we headed out onto Balmaha harbour, and took a few shots.
p.s. Don’t worry father, mother and safer-minded individuals, I didn’t drink and drive! (Hic!)
