Regeneration.

Regeneration.

Hi folks…

Photography has taken a bit of a back seat recently … major issues with housing had to take priority! All sorted out, and should hopefully be settling into the new house in the next 2 weeks… it’s on the side of the River Clyde, and should give some interesting photo opportunitites in the next few months!

My city, Glasgow, has been regenerating the entire waterfront area in the last 5 years or so. In my opinion it’s been a total success, with both new and old industries flourishing (media, and shipbuilding respectively). For many people, Glasgow seems synonymous with a bygone era, of good times gone bad, and all that… however I really hope this is a catalyst for permanent & long-lasting change.

So, it’s a little bit odd to walk in these areas, which were derelict some years ago, and find lifebelts, new bridges, stunning architecture and wide open spaces.

Feel free to point out the good and the bad.

The light in this shot is really unusual. Looks as though the entire thing was set up with props in a studio. Great combination of colours.
