From Queensferry.

From Queensferry.

Against even my own better judgement, I dragged myself out this evening to South Queensferry, with the aim of taking a postcard-shot of the Forth Bridge.

I’ve been a bit under the weather the last week, which had resulted in me being off work (shocker!) on Thursday and Friday last week. A combination of a dodgy stomach, and perhaps just a bit exhausted. I reckoned if I didn’t get out and do even a little photography this weekend I’d be upset, even if I was starting to feel better. Back to work tomorrow!

Anyway, after driving through torrential rain on the journey over, I was glad to find the weather perfectly alright. I almost turned back on a number of occasions, too!

All things considered, I’m glad I headed over, but I’m now seriously exhausted. :( Bed time.

I love this shot. When I get back I fancy shooting it from South Queensferry to get both of the bridges stretching away side by side. This structure didn’t fail to amaze. It looks like a giant spaceship that has just landed. Awe inspiring. The lighting adds to this.

That said, not as awe inspiring as watching a guy order “battered ribs” in the chip shop up the road.

Battered ribs…. i bet if he waited until pubs were chucking out that’s exactly what he’d have gotten! :)
