Cold.

Cold.

I knew last night that it was gonna be freezing cold this morning, and fairly foggy, too.

First, I headed into the city, with the aim of taking some shots of Linn Park… but the fog was just hilariously thick, and I doubt you could make an image of anything but white.

So, I headed up to Kittochside, just around East Kilbride, and the maze of country lanes around that area. It was “proper cold” and the roads were just a continuous river of ice.

However, as the sun rose, and the fog was burned off, I got the pic I was looking for.

That’s a beauty.

I actually played golf today and the whole course was like that – I should have left my clubs at home & taken my camera…..

The colour treatment is sublime. Looks like some fairy-tale shot.

If I had any criticism, it’s that the road makes the bottom look a bit straight with a big dark area, but thats a completely minor point.

Great job!

Love the pic, great job!

thanks andrew… i tried cropping the pic to make the black road area disappear, but… well it kinda looked funny, as if the tree was sitting on the bottom of the page

I most like the inclusion of the gate to the left. It creates a rural feel that much more. Perhaps it’s the light that falls on it. I also like the strong contrast between the misty backdrop and sharply in focus foreground.
