I just love this moment whilst out photographing. The sun has risen, and begun poking through the trees.
Already, some patches of frost are melting off, with a faint whisp of mist filling the air as evidence. You can see the sunlit areas grow and spread along the ground, and you know that in 30 minutes the scene will be vastly different: it will be officially daytime.
For a brief moment, the yellow glow of the sunrise lends the scene a hint of summer, but soon this will be gone too, and the harsh, cold winters day will be back.
Worth an early rise, any day of the week.

Beautiful sun, and well worth the effort.
